Ingenico iSMP4 - Setup

  • Swipe MERCHANT CARD to left


  • Move selector down to "6 Parameters"

  • Choose "6 - Parameters" → Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "1 - Change" → Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "2 - Communication" → Press the green "enter" button


  • Make sure that is it setup to "via ECR" → Press the red "cancel" button


  • Choose "3 - Register" → Press the green "enter" button


  • Make sure "ECR" is set to "Yes" → Press F2



  • Make sure "Comm. Type" is set to "BT iOS" → Reboot the terminal by holding down the yellow "clear" button and the "-" button at the same time


  • Press F1 → Swipe the MERCHANT CARD to left


  • Choose "2 – Bluetooth" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "5 – Advanced options" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "1 - Rename" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Rename the unit so it will make sense to the customers setup (Ex. iSMP-mPOS1) -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "2 – Parring Mode" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "1 – Pin comparison" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "3 – Power saving" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "2 - Disconnect" -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "4 – Smart connection"


  • Make sure that this feature is disabled -> Press the green "enter" button


  • Reboot the terminal by holding down the yellow "clear" button and the "-" button at the same time



  • Press F1 → Swipe the MERCHANT CARD to left 


  • Choose "2 – Bluetooth" → Press the green "enter" button


  • Choose "2 – Pair with phone" → Press the green "enter" button


  • Go to iPad/iPhone


  • Got to iPad/iPhone "Settings"


  • Go to Bluetooth section →  Find the name of the iSMP4 and push it → Connect to the terminal 



  • Hit "Create pair" 



  • Pairing success → Press the yellow button 


  • The terminal reboots


  • Reboot complete - start using the terminal
