Setup

In short:

  • Pass server setup
  • Ticket Setup - The pass server communication details
  • Ticket Type – pass templates, SMS template, eTicket type code, and activation
  • Ticket BOM - eTicket type code, and activation


Credentials to pass server and API token are setup per customer.

Pass Server

The pass server contains the design of the eTicket.

Pass Template

Find a pass template and duplicated it.



Make the required design changes to your copy.

Pass Generation

Add a new pass generation record to assign an External type code to your template.


Ticket Setup

In Nav we need to specify the pass server details



Customers will receive their own Base URL and Token.


Ticket Type

4 activities needs to be done from Ticket Type

  1. Setup the SMS template
  2. Create the pass template that transfer data from NAV ticket to eTicket
  3. Assign the external type code from pass generation
  4. Activate eTicket


SMS Template

The SMS template is used to format the SMS to ticket holder with the eTicket.


  • Table No. must be 6060110.

Numbers inside {} are replaced with values from the field. See the fields fact box for a list of fields available.
Some examples:

  • Field 100 is the ticket number
  • Field 422 is the URL you want to send to the user.

Pass Template

Go back to pass server and edit the Pass Template.


  1. Click Preview
  2. Click Edit Data



In the text window, a prefilled template is shown with data that feeds the eTicket.

A template is shown. It works the same was the SMS message was constructed:

This templates needs to have the same format as the template on the pass-server. Values inside {[ and ]} will be replace by the value from the fields. The fields available are the same as for the SMS.
When you done, save the file and exit.


External Type Code

Fill in the external type code from Pass generation:



Activate eTicket

Activate eTicket for ticket type


Ticket BOM

On ticket BOM you must then activate which specific tickets (for the ticket type), that will use the eTickets.



When "Publish as eTicket" is checked, the "eTicket Type Code" is fetched from the Ticket Type.
If your tickets have different designs but use the same template for data transfer, you can change the eTicket Type Code to another legal value from the Pass Generation page pass server.

Verifying

POS Sales

In POS sell a ticket eTicket has been enabled.
The notification address needs to be filled in with customer phone number.



The setup dictates if regular printing should be suppressed when eTicket is sent successfully.



Finish the sale. The SMS is sent during end-of-sales workflow.


Resending or sending an already created ticket.
